Question
The first is the starting material and the second is the reaction product. Can anyone help me make sense of this? I was doing a reaction begining with salicylic acid and acetic anyhdride in which we tried to synthesize aspirin. Can someone help me make sense of the NMR and give me some data or info I can take away from this? thanks

Provided Data is not NMR but HPLC of your reaction. Retention time of your product is 6.8 in specta 2 while some starting material is remained unreacted as seen in retension time 7.4 same as spectra 1.
