High power distance in cultures refers to the existence of high levels of inequality in power and this is accepted by everyone. II. Low power distance, on the other hand, means that low levels of inequality exist and the people are not willing to agree to unequal distribution of power. III. As described by Pennsylvania State University (2020), the Chinese’s score in the power distance scale is at 80.

Usually, those in government positions hold higher power than other common people and they demand respect. Often, the decisions of these high-power individuals are taken as final and are not challenged by those under them.
