I have to use before regular filtration a filtration through celite to filter my product including Pd/c as catylaze could plz explain to me how so ? Step by step plz & Any notes to do it successfully I'm afraid to lose my product especially I used all my sample..

Explanation / Answer

You did mention exactly what reaction you have carried out and in what solvent. However you may have donr the reaction in any alcohol (Ethanol, Methanol & Propanol). Hopefully your compound must be dissolved in your solvent (Then only reaction will proceed).

So you can pack celite and you can do filtration. Along with solvent all your compounds will come down(Filtrate part). Finally you pour some more solvent (What you used in your reaction) in celite bed and filter that too. If any compound is with Pd/C it also will be dissolved in your solvent and will come down.Then you can do normal filtration.

If you use bulk Pd/C which is readily catches fire in oxygen environment.You better use Nitrogen condition.
