Question

I have to set up a linear model with excel:

I have a customer service phone line and I need to figure out how many people to work for each shift to come up with minimum wage and how I will staff the department. The line is open 24 hours a day and everyone works for 8 hour shifts and they need to start at the beg of the listed shifts. Here are the shifts:

Shift 1: 9-12 ( I need at least 10 ppl)

Shift 2: 12-3 (I need at least 20 ppl)

Shift 3: 3-6 (I need at least 15)

Shift 4: 6-9 (I need at leat 18)

Shift 5: 9-12 ( I need at least 22)

Shift 6: 12-3 (I need at least 25)

Shift 7: 3-6 (I need at least 20)

Shift 8: 6-9 ( I need at least 17 ppl)

People who work reg. office hours (7-5) make $18 an hour

People who work extended hours (5pm-7 am) make $23 an hour

How can I set up the linear model in order to figure out the staff shifts and the minimum amount spent on wage?

What are my constraints?
