Question

The Cholera and flu are examples of ______ a. DNA b. conjugate c. submit d. live attenuated e. none of the above IgA protease is an enzyme used by organisms to break down IgG and help escape the host system B Cells are a kind of antigen presenting cells In the A-B Toxin, the A submit is the actual toxin that binds to the receptor which in the A Defensins are proteins involved in the innate immune response. The humoral response is mediated by a) t cells b) cells c) granulocytes d) eosinophils The CD4 molecule is associated with what type of cell? a. eosinophil b. monocyte c. T helper cell d. Cytotoxic T cell

Explanation / Answer

Immunity can be catagorised as "Humoral immunity " and "Cell mediated immunity". Humoral immunity involves protection against the bacteria and viruses more over it acts by B-Cells. More specificaly said it acts by antibody production toward specific antigen.

Cell mediated immunity acts via T Cells (four type of T Cella) and provide protection against fungi and protozoa.

When antigen zuch as bacteria attacks the body cell mediated immunity cells identify it. T helper cells named as Th1and Th22 activates and differentiate B Cell in to plasma cell and memory cells. Plasma cells produces antibody against that specific antigen and memory cell store memory which helps the body on subsequent exposure to the same antigen next time. At that time memory cell converted in to plasma cells and start producing more and more antibody than previous exposure. (most of but not all memory cell).

Thelper cell marked by CD 4 molecule to differentiate itself and helps/activates B cells. CD-cluster of differentiation .

Humoral responce is mediated by Bcells by producing specific antibody.

TCells is part of cell mediated responce.

Eosinophils are type of granulocytes. Granulocytes are cells that containing granules in their cytoplasm and depending on staining character they are differentaited as eosinophils, neutroohils, basophils etc..

CD 4 molecule is associated with T Cells because it involves in TCell Acfivation by directly binding to the MHC Class-II molecules which represent antigenic peptides. Specifically it present on Th - helper cell That acgivated B cells for antibody production.

Cytotoxic T cells -Tc Cells contain CD8 molecule which recodnises MHC-II molecules.

Eosinophiles and monocytes are nucleated cells and do not posses any molecules on their surface.

So answer would be C i.e. T helper cell associated with CD 4 cell.
