In monitoring for various complications at XYZ Rehabilitation Hospital, health information manager Mary Moore discovers that in many instances patients with deep vein thrombosis or pressure sores are being admitted to the hospital with those conditions. Because rehabilitation cannot proceed until these medical conditions are resolved, these patients may be discharged from rehabilitation to another type of care after a short stay and later readmitted to rehabilitation. Or these conditions may prolong the patient’s length of stay in the rehabilitation facility. Mary plans to report these findings to the quality improvement committee.
What recommendations might the committee make regarding these findings? What role can Mary play in improving this situation?

Generally pressure sores develop to the patient who are bed rest for long time like paraplegic patient. Paraplegic patient is at high risk to develop pressure sore because they don't have power to move other side, walk etc.
Recommendation
1. To categorise patient on the basis of age and disease condition
2. Identify the patient who are on high risk of pressure sore or may have risk to develop pressure sore in future
3. First of all make sure that no one patient should be long seat at one place continuously or sleep continuously
4. Analyse bedding activity like is there any leakage in their bed or not.
5. Replace the bed who do not hold water or pressure
6. Procure wheel chairs and others accessory so that patient get addicted to another plan.
Role of marry
1. First is the try that no one patient can develop pressure sores because once it is develop it is very hard to cure
2. Identify the patient and classify them on the basis of severity of sore
3. Exchange their side at each 3 hours
4. In night make such a activity that patient atleast take 2 side exchange either left or right side during sleep
5. Procure new bed that is water bed
6. Give nutritious food to all patient
