Part A)

Apply 1/f = 1/p + 1/q

1/-40 = 1/12500 + 1/q

q = -39.9 cm

Part B)

h'/h = =q/p

h'/2 = -(-39.9)/12500

h' = 6.38 X 10-3 m (6.37 mm)

Part C)

1/-40 = 1/1050 + 1.q

q = -38.5 cm

Part D)

h'/h = -q/p

h'/2 = -(-38.5)/1050

h' = .0734 m (7.34 cm)
