How does your answer help you understand why the waves caused such devastation? Essay answers are limited to about 500 words (3800 characters maximum, including spaces).

Explanation / Answer

Part C:

Tsunami waves have long wave length in deep sea. As wavelength inversly proprtion to speed (wave height), middle of the sea you will not observe much change. But as the waves approach shores, dure to shallow depth wavelength decreases, which increase wave height and the speed. So the wave becomes much more stronger and causes much devastation.
