Please help with these questions and explain/show work!!

A loop of wire starts off oriented parallel to a magnetic field (left) and rotates until it is perpendicular to the field (right). Is a current induced in the wire, and what direction is it? A. No current is induced 8. clockwise C. counterclockwise G. An electron beam is directed toward a screen Where should the magnet be placed to head the electron beam the least? Assume that A and C are perfectly centered on the beam. (Orientation matters!) The Tevatron is a large particle accelerator at Fermilab National Lab (near Chicago). When operational, the accelerator used large magnets to curve proton and antiprotem beams through a circular tube. When viewed from above tin' protons traveled in a clockwise direction and the (negatively charged) antiprotons traveled in the counterclockwise direction. Which direction(s) should the magnetic field point to properly curve the beams?

Explanation / Answer

5) C) counter-clockwise

As th loop is competin 1/4 th part of revolution, magnetic flux through the loop is incresing.

According Lenz's law, the induced current should oppose the change in magnetic flux that generated it.

so, current flows in ccw

6) C)

magnetic force on electron, F = q*v*B*sin(theta) (here theta is the angle between v and B)

when theta = 0, F = 0

7) E

when B is in to the page then protons can rotate counterclcokwise direction.
