Can someone answer these questions in detail thanks
Part A though stand Laser cooling is used to cool di lute vapours of sodium atoms to Sunding lighl ware 2mK. Passing them through mul tiple apertures forms an atomic beam, that is injected into the atom interferometer shown on the right. The standing light waves are created with a laser at A 532nm (a) What is the rms speed v of a Sodium atom (A-23) in a gas at 2.0mK (b) The laser beam acts as a grating. Calculate the first order diffraction angle of the sodium atoms travelling with the rms speed from question (a) (c) How far apart are points B and C if the second standing wave is 20cm after the first?Explanation / Answer
a) rms = (3RT/M)½
where R is a gas constant
T is the Temperature
M is the mass of the gas
rms = [3(8.3145*2*10^-6)/23]½
rms = 147 m/sec
b) Here,
m = 1, = /sqrt (q/ (d/m) ^2 ^2
I couldnt find d and Delta lamda value which is not possible to calculate.
