I have two questions about the Physics!

1. You have a rod made of some unknown material. When rubbed, the rod does not pick upo bits of paper. What do you expect will happen if you now place the rod on top of the glass beaker and repeat the experiment from A, Why? Explain.

2, A student tests three objects, A, B, and C, for electrical interactions. Object A repels T-tape. Object B attracts small bits of paper.

Object C attracts not only bits of paper, but also attracts both objects A and B.

What can be said about the charge state of objects A, B, and C? Explain

Explanation / Answer

2) A and B have similar charge while C has opposite to that of A and B

T tape is negatively charged,

so, A and B are also negatively charged,

while C is positively charged

Bit of paper has both charges, so attracted by all

1) Nothing will happen because the rod to be placed was neutral as it was not picking up bit of paper. Both positively and negatively charged rods pick up bits of paper
