Explanation / Answer
What are the main reasons of CO2 emission growth?
Ans: As per the study says there are natural as well as human are responsible for CO2 emission.
Natural Source:
1. decomposition.
2. ocean release
3. Respiration
Human Source:
1. Cement production
2. Deforestation
3. Burning of fossil fuels like coal, petrol.
As human activities are mostly cause of CO2 emission. Due to increase of Industry revolution, the CO2 level are increased rapidly.
87% of CO2 emission are due to the burning of fossil fuels like - Coal (In industry), Petrol and diesel (automobiles - major cause).and remaining 13% are due to rapid increase in deforestation and cement manufacturing industry and both are increased due to rapid increase in Civil work.
What industry requires the primary change to limit CO2 emissions?
Ans: Yes, It is possible to reduce the CO2 emissions level and for this the industry have to adopt the following measure.
1. Co-firing of biomass and wastes could significantly reduce fossil fuel usage.
2. Increasing use of electric arc furnaces in steel manufacturing will be constrained by the availability of cheap electricity and the supply of recycled steel.
3. the implementation of cross cutting technology and these include energy efficient motor and steam systems.
4. adoption of energy efficient technology.
5. Direct CO2 emissions can be further separated into (i) fuel combustion processes for process heating; and (ii) emissions which are the product of a chemical reaction e.g. from the conversion of limestone (CaCO3) into lime (CaO).
What is required for carbon capturing technologies to be implemented by private business in market based economy?
Ans: carbon capturing technologies are mostly beneficial to reduce carbon diaoxide emission and basically divided into three process
1. Post combustion capture ; this is the process of removal of CO2 from power station gas flue prior its compression. transportation and storage. It include CSS technology.
2. Pre Combustion capture : This is the process which is widely applied in fertilizers. in this the fossil fuels are partially oxidezed. In this process the CO2 is removed after combustion of fossil fuels, but before the flue gas is expanded to atmospheric pressure.
3. oxy-Fuel Combustion : In this process, the fuel is burned in the presence of oxygen instead of air.Power plant processes based on oxyfuel combustion are sometimes referred to as "zero emission" cycles
Why reduction of construction costs can help with CO2 emissions?
Ans: the reduction of construction costs will help with CO2 emissions. as we know we required land for construction purpose, as we want to buy a land as low as possible. so for this the builder mainly buy a land of outside city. and we know that as Outside the city the land are fully planted . So, the builder for there sake cutting the forest which increase deforestation.
What % of emissions came from industries in 2010?
Ans: the Emissions percentage came from industries in 2010 is 11%.
What are the risks of CO2 mitigation measures in agriculture?
Ans: As climate changes due to rising concentrations of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, agriculture will be one of the key human activities affected.Specifically, as adaptation and mitigation strategies in agriculture are implemented to alleviate the potential negative effects of climate change, key synergies need to be identified, as mitigation practices may compete with modifications to local agricultural practices aimed at maintaining production and income. Under future climate and socio-economic pressures, land managers and farmers will be faced with challenges in regard to selecting those mitigation and adaptation strategies that together meet food, fiber and climate policy requirements.
What are the options for electrification of Africa?
Ans: the options are
1. The use of solar plates to generate electricity in day time as well as store in a battery for night time also.
2. The use of wind turbines at hilly place where the wind speed are quiet good.
3. The use of Turbines at Water Hills to generate enough electricity for day to day life.
4. The use of Bio Gas to generate electricity,
