Question

In the circuit diagram below, all three resistors have the same resistance. Rank the current (in descending order) at each of the following points in the circuit. 1: Point F 1: Point A 1: Point C 1: Point B 1: Point D You are correct. Your receipt no. is 157-3886 Previous Tries Rank the voltage difference (in descending order) for each of these pairs of points. FE VAF 4 Submit AnswerIncorrect. Tries 5/10 Previous Tries Rank the actual value of the electrical potential (in descending order) for each of these points Point B Point E Point A Point D Point C Submit Answer Tries 0/10

Explanation / Answer

a]

Since there is no voltage drop between B and D, therefore VBD = 0 and it should thus be ranked the lowest [5]. Likewise, VCE has a highest voltage drop because of high resistance between them. So, it should be ranked [1]. This should be followed by VDC [2], then VAF [3] and then VFE [4].

b]

B is at the highest potential since it is closest to the positive terminal of the battery. Hence [1] for B. Then [2] for D since potential at D = potential at B.

Similarly, [3] for C, [4] for A, [5] for F and lastly [6] for E.
