Initially the piston is fixed in such way that it dividesthe volume in two unequal parts, V0 to the left and3V0 to the right. The left side volume contains an idealgas of temperature T0, and pressure 2P0. Theright side volume contains the same type of gas, but a temperatureT0 and pressure P0. Now, it is permitted tothe piston to move.
