Following the guideliness found in the image please redact one paragraph.INTRODUCTION o Why has the study been undertaken? o Summary of relevant background facts o Statement of specific problem addressed in this report o Below is an example of how to write a background, reference sentences and label tables and figures graphs EXAMPLE: Electric utilities are the largest consumers of coal where close to a billion tons of coal are utilized for the production of electricity in the U.S. today. In the year 2004, about 1,105.4 million short tons of coal were consumed in the U.S. alone. Out of the 1,016.3 million short tons of coal produced domestically, 92% were utilized by the electric power sector. Coal consumption is projected to increase by over 35% in the next 20 years from 1.1 million short tons to 1.5 million short tons in 2025 (EIA 2007). Coal burning, combined with pollution control technologies, generates enormous quantities of residues, called coal combustion byproducts (CCBs). CCBs created due to coal burning are the third largest mineral resource in the U.S. (ACAA 2006). Explanation / Answer
Electricity used in U.S. is majorly produced from coal-fired power plant. Billions of tons of coal is consumed annually and it is increasing each year. In 2004 alone, US consumed 1105.4 million tons of coal and out of which approx 91% coal consumed is produced domestically. About 92% of the total annual coal consumed is used for power production. With the increasing use of coal, the US projected to increase its coal production by 35% in next 20 year. Coal combusting leads to the formation of fly-ash in large quantity. Fly-ash generated due to coal combustion is the third largest mineral resource in US
