Also assume that there are 100 parking spaces for office workers and visitors in one lot and the other employees' parks in a second lot. How many of the following will you need for this plant which is located here in rural county South Carolina? 1: Total parking spaces in the second parking lot. 2: Total handicapped parking spaces including how many "van" assessable. 3: Total number of men's toilets. 4: Total number of women's toilets. 5: Would you recommend to your CEO that you use slant in or straight in parking? wHY? 6: Set a lunch schedule to allow all workers a 30 minutes lunch break if the two available lunch rooms hold a combined total of 150 employees. You may assume that 75 of the office workers will NOT use either lunch room. 7: If the building is 600 feet long and 400 wide, how many drinking fountains must you have? 8: Would you hire a full time nurse or MD for the facility? A: Assuming a single car will have 4 persons,so 100 parking spaces ,therefore this space is accomodate 400 employees,remaining there are 650 employees in first slot,as 400 has been already accomodated so the remaining employees are 250,therefore we need an additional parking space for remaining 250 employees.Accomodating 4 employees in 1 vehicle ,we need additional 63parking slots for the additional employees.
B:It will depend on the number of people who are handicapped.For the handicapped people we need toreserve parking space. Assuming that 5% people out of 650 are handicapped, we need approximately 30 van accessible parking space.
C: Assuming that at a time 20% of the population will go to toilet,since maximum people are in first shift, so we need 65toilets for men.
D: Since there are half men and half women,so we need equalnumber oftoilet for women's as well.
E: we would recommend slant in parking spots,because it helps vehicles to accomodate very efficiently,without utilising much space,secondly,the slant in parking has one more benefit that is,it gives an ease to park and take out the vehicle fromthe parking spot.
