Question

Can someone please help with the explanation of the solution to this problem. It is based on chapter 15 in Conceptual Physics. Without going into to much math, what is the conceptual reason why the bowls wil not end up being the same temperature? The answer has to be based on the concept of temperature, heat and specific heat capacity because the chapter has not gone into greater detail than offering the concepts behind these physics terms and the equation Q = cm T. Knowing these things, how do I best explain that the temperature will be different because the bowls are made of different substance? I am close but cannot give a clear concise answer. Please help. The question is BELOW ........

The same amount of heat flows into two non-identical bowls of soup, which are initially at the same temperature. Will the two bowls end up at the same temperature? Explain.

Explanation / Answer

Non identical bowls means masses of the bowls can be different and material that the bowls made up of can be different. From Q=mCT

If mass is more more heat is required to raise the temperature of same difference. And also same with C.
