Please help!

Problem 14.64 Part A IP Two loudspeakers are placed at either end of a gymnasium, both pointing toward the center of the gym and equidistant from it. The speakers emit 266 Hz sound that is in phase. An observer at the center of the gym experiences constructive interference. The observer must walk toward either speaker the distance of 0.322 m to first experience destructive interference Does the required distance increase, decrease, or stay the same if the frequency of the speakers is lowered? increases decreases stays the same Submit My Answers Give Up Correct Part B Calculate the distance to the first position of destructive interference if the frequency emitted by the speakers is lowered to 238 Hz Submit My Answers Give Up Incorrect; Try Again; 13 attempts remaining eedbac Continue

Explanation / Answer

in initial case path difference from both source at destructive interference = 0.322 x 2 = 0.644 m

now => initial wavelength = 0.644 x 2 = 1.288 m

final wavelength= initial wavelength x initial frequency/final frequency = 1.288 x 266/238 = 1.43953 m

=> path difference from both source at destructive interference = 1.43953/2 = 0.7197647 m

minimum distance need to move from center = 0.7197647/2 = 0.359882353 m
