Could Someone Explain how to solve this question step by step to me? Thanks!

The equivalent circuit in Figure P 5.4-7 is obtained by replacing part of the original circuit by its Thevenin equivalent circuit. The values of the parameters of the Thevenin equivalent circuit are Voc = 15 V and Rt = 60 Ohm Determine the following: The values of Vs and Ra. (Four resistors in the original circuit have equal resistance, Ra.) The value of Rb required to cause i = 0.2 A. The value of Rb required to cause v = 12 V.

Explanation / Answer

(i)5Ra/2 =Rt

=>Ra=2*60/5=24 ohm

Voc=Ra*Vs/(5Ra/2)

Vs=2*Voc/5=2*15/5=6volt

B)Voc/Rt+Rb=0.2

=>15/60+Rb=0.2

=>Rb=15/0.2 -60 =15 ohm

c) Voc*Rb/Rt+Rb =12

Rb/60+Rb=12/15

Rb=48+12/15Rb

3/15 Rb=48

=>Rb=16*15= 240 ohm
