Question
This circuit demonstrates a punch press operation the small cylinder is attached to a hold down/stripper pirate which holds the material in place until punched, and then holds the punched material while the punch is retracted and stripped from the hole in the material the Punch Press Panel of 2 pneumatic palm buttons (NO and N.C.); 1 variable restriction for hold down cylinders. 1 double-acting cylinder. 2 single-acting cylinders; 1 four way/2-position valve with 2 continuous duty electric solenoids and 3 single pole/single-throw electrical limit switches Initially are is directed through the four way/two position valve to the rod end of the double-acting cylinder. which a used to simulate the ram of the punch press Depressing the palm buttons actuates the 2 single-acting cylinders attached to the hold down/stripper plate. As these cylinders travel to the bottom of their stroke, the hold-down/stripper pate momentarily makes switch A (N.O.) B (N O) and the four way/two-position valve shifts back to its original position causing the ram to retract. At this time the operator releases the palm buttons, the Stripper plate retracts and the operator then removes the workplace. Switch C (N.C.). located at the stripper plate's retracted position, assures that the 4 way valve can never be shifted by accidentally tripping switch A when loading and unloading a workpiece.Explanation / Answer
The above circuit is Electrical as well as Pneumatic control.Pneumatic control means it uses air for the operation.now here they are trying to make the conveyor system .conveyor system is nothing but it is belt which carry something from one place to another .For Example : In thermal power plant conveyor belt is used to carry the coal from one place to another and in airport it is used to carry luggage from one place to another.
In the circuit shown above, air is goes to both the cylinders which maintain the RAM home position.
NC- normally closed ,NO -nomally opened
COM- common
When the solenoids are actuated it creates a magnetic field which attracts some lever .A solenoid is a coil which is actuated by a current which creates a magnetic field. now when the LS 1 activates the solenoid A, advancing cylinder no 1,cylinder 1 positions the block in front of cylindedr no 2 and contacts the LS2 .
LS 2 energises the solenoid c which advances the cylinder no 2.It means that when the solenoid c is energised which helps in advancement of cylinder no 2 which in turn pushes the block rail # 2 and Rail #3 and block the contacts LS3.
Cylinder 2 pushes the block rail #2 and rail #3 and block contacts the LS3.
switch c activates the solenoid B and D which ,in turn, return both cylinder 1 and 2 to there home position and the system is ready for new block.
Hope you find the solution helpfull.Happy chegging.
