A signal that takes infinite number of values is known as Analog signal.
A signal that takes finite number of values is known as Digital signal.
ex- binary signal takes two values ony, 0 or 1.
now we see each one given-
1. heart rate can take any integer value between 35 and 300, so forms digital signal.
2. O2 saturation is defined for 1 to 5 mV but in between them infinite value exist. so not a digital signal.
3. Temperature between 180C and 220C but taking only integer and half integer values hence finite set of values. so gives digital signal.
4. Performance taking real number between 0 and 1 so infinite set of values. Hence not a digital signal.
5. Respiratory rate numeric value between 8 to 40 so finite numbers hence digital.
6. Activity level(accelerometer) it can take any value of current between 0 to 7mA hence not a digital signal.
