Homework grade = 85%

Pre-lecture and quiz = 80%

attendance grade= 100%

hour grade= 88%, 77%, 93%, 91%

we have two cases

CASE I

taking all % section of same weitage

average hour grade = (88+77+93+91)/4

= 87.25%

let we get x% in final then

overall % = (85+80+100+87.25+x)/5

for overall = 80%, x will be

x = 80*5 - ( 85+80+100+87.5)

x = 47.75%

for overall = 70 %

x = 70*5 - (352.25)

we will get x negative which is not possible so for minimum x, x can be ZERO.

overall % for x = 0

352.25/5 = 70.45% (answer)

for overall % equal to 90

x = 90*5 - 352.25

x = 97.75

now highest possible % is

(352.25+100)/5

= 90.45% (answer)

b. If I am sick then I will leave that day class and try to learn that topic by video lecture for the internet or some open courses. Our main motive should be to learn that part of the syllabus on that day itself. This is for not so serious condition such that you need to be in ICU.
