Question
Hey guys, i have a few physics questions that i really could use some help with. I havent been able to figure them out. Thank you in advance :) I will award you 500 points
You hold a ruler that has a charge on its tip 6 cm above a small piece of tissue paper to see if it can be picked up. me ruler nas -lb mu C or cnarge. The tissue nas 1 g or mass, what is the minimum charge required to pick up the tissue paper? What is the net charge on a sphere that has the following? A metal sphere hangs from a string and has 4 kg of mass. The sphere has a charge of +5.5 mu C. A uniform electric field is turned on and directed to the right. Three spiders are resting on the vertices of a triangular web. The sides of the triangular web have a length of a = 0.57 m, as depicted in the figure. Two of the spiders (S1 and S3) have +4.0 pC charge, while the other (S2) has -4.0 pC charge.
Explanation / Answer
1)F=k*q1*q2/r^2=mg...........
q2 =m*g*r^2/K*q1=245*10^?12 C
2)a) Qnet = n2-n1)*e=(7.69-5.27)*10^6*1.6*10^-19=387.2*10^?15C.
b) Qnet = n2-n1)*e=(235-104)*1.6*10^-19=20.96
