If the plane is traveling horizontally with a speed of 237 (65.8 ), how far in advance of the recipients (horizontal distance) must the goods be dropped (see the figure (Figure 1) )? 456 m

Suppose, instead, that the plane releases the supplies a horizontal distance of 425 in advance of the mountain climbers. What vertical velocity (up or down) should the supplies be given so that they arrive precisely at the climbers' position (see the figure )? Okay so this is what I got:

425/65.8= 6.46
235 - (6.46)+(1/2)(9.8)(6.46)^2

235 - 210 = 24.1

24.1/6.46 = 3.73 m/s

Is this right? I keep getting it wrong.
