Question
Marketing is what I think would be known as a customer satisfaction that is made though a social process. And the word marketing also covers the process of advertising, selling of product or service, and distribution. But marketing also makes it a point to be aware of the customers needs and wants in the future, and this in most cases is done through the market research. In my opinion if incorporating marketing into a sales function of an organization may depend on the industry. Example, if you are a supply company for offices providing them with office supplies, the sales of the office supply company may be directly effected by its marketing. The only marketing would be to promote products and to market the organization to the clients you will most likely sell office supplies to. Meanwhile, within an industry, consulting engineering, all marketing stuff that would be responsible in informing our client of our capabilities and service lines. There would also be a constant attempt to get out the company name to potential new clients in and out of defined markets. Sales would be the more specific market it is done by a team through submission of proposals and other means of gaining work. Disadvantages of Mass Marketing. 1 Heavy advertising costs, to establish brands and keep them in public eye. 2 High development costs of products. 3 Competition is often fierce. 4Companies must be market orientatedExplanation / Answer
Hi, It is essential for any company to market its products to the customers. Marketing helps in creating awareness on the company, its organizational structure, policies and much more. Marketing can be considered as the first step in the sales process. Without marketing, it may be difficult to convince customers to buy the company's products or avail company's services. In other words, it is the marketing department which generates business leads for the sales department. Sales department is responsible for closing the leads. So, while both the departments may appear to be integrated, they have independent functions, roles and responsibilities. Thanks.
