Please I need answers for question 29, 30, 31 and 32. Thank you 26. Propose occurs an explanation for why the population size affects the number of weeks metamorphosis of the tadpoles 27. The type of competion represented by graph C is referred to as intraspecific competition. 28. What is different about this compared to the competition seen in graph B? Extension Questions: 29. Predict how a natural disaster causing suden dil offof snowshoe hares would impact ynx term populations. 30. Some scientists have argued that there realy is no such on your understanding nsn. Expiain why they may feel his way m and commensalism 31. What symbiotic relationship exists between a developing fetus and its mother and why? 32. Do you think it is possible for a relationship viewed as commensalism to evolve into a mutualism? Explain your answer. 33. An investigation was carried out into competition between two species of grass, Bromus madritensis and B. rigidus Equal numbers of seeds of B. madritensis were sown in a number of different pots. In each pot, an equal number of seeds of B. rigidus was then sown a different number of days after B. madritensis. The results are shown in the graph below. Given that the total dry mass of plant material was the same in each pot, summarize the main conclusions that can be drawn from this investigation. Suggest an explanation for the results when the delay before sowing B. rigidus was 30 days. Percencage contribution of to total dry mass after 45 days 20 30 Delay before planting B. madrivesdarldays

Explanation / Answer

31. Mother and fetus share mutual symbiotic relationship because child gets more benefits from mother as compare to give benefits to mother. Developing fetus get nutrition, shelter in mother. Mother reduces a chance of ovarian cancer. Somtimes it create danger to mothers body but still mother get benefited from developing embryo so there is partial mutual symbiosis but still some group considered it parasitism. There is reciprocity between internal sections of the mother and fetus.

30 mutulism means when both species gets benefits from another but in commansalism one species get benefit from the association while neither benefiting nor harming the other. Fir example bacteria live commensalistically live within one digestive system , when displaced cause disease for example streptococcus pyrogenes. Scientist not believe in commensalism because there is always a cost of symbiotic relationship. Symbiosis has two extreme ends one represent mutual relation and other end is parasitism. Commensalism found in between of these two end. So, each species in symbiotic interaction has to pay off to maintain relation so commensalism is not accepted by some of the researchers.

32. Yes, commensalism can be evolve as mutulism. Commensalism represent as (+/0) relationship and mutulism as (+/+). When one species get benefit from another without harming and benefiting other. During the evolution if the species is start getting benefit from another result in mutualism.
