Question
Please be specific on how it accounts for at least one of the factors.
Many factors may explain the inconsistency between heritability estimated phenotypically (e.g. based on pedigree) and heritability estimated from SNPs derived from GWAS (e.g. "missing heritability" problem), such as: genotype by genotype interactions, genotype by environment interactions, rare variants, and population structure. Propose an experiment or method of analysis that could go beyond the results obtained from a standard genome wide association study by accounting for one of these factors. Explain how your approach can find additional heritability that was originally missed by the typical GWAS approach.Explanation / Answer
Ans- one such approach is to test only for the tumor associated proteins in case of environmental effect on human body.
Normally environment conditions play a significant role in tumor for example an environment of smoking and other associates causes tumor in severe cases in those cases the tumor associated proteins or the proteins which are generally detected in tumor cells may produce more significant results because in whole genome sequencing it may miss the tumor at starting stage but if we do test for those proteins which are only detected in tumor , their presence will be more significant in this case.
