The motives of Europeans for exploration and discovery were that they wanted to identify new land to expand their empires, in search of mineral wealth and desire to colonize. They wanted to take those risks to ruling, trading purposes and slaves. By 1450, they had good technical eqipment, had best ship building technology and mechienary.
