The arctic sea ice cover is decreasing continously because of the higher temperatures of global warming.
Because of this there will be melting of ice and increase in the sea level resulting in floods and drowning of small islands.
It is important to know because of it continues the entire earth will face the same danger and threat to the whole humanity.
Internationally many initiatives going on by world bank ,unfcc, ipcc etc and research is carrying to combat the problem.
