16.a). Parts of a comet: The parts of a comet are Nucleus, Coma and a tail. Nucleus is a core part, Coma is a layer of cloud with dust. Tail consists of dust and extends away from the sun. b). Causes of comet having a tail: Comet when approaching the sun, experiences increase in temperature where vapor is formed with dust particles from inside forming a tail which is farhter away from the sun. c).Orbit and period of most comets: The period of comets is usually 200 years or less and the orbit of the comet is elliptical. d).
