P(East intersect Not opposed) = 100/600 = 1/6

P(East) = 50/150 = 1/3..........1

P(Not opposed) = (320)/600 .....2

Now 1 into 2 is not equal to P(East intersect Not opposed)

Hence, the events aren't indepdent
