A data was gathered regarding the number of defects in the manufactured machine component. The component plays a vital role in proper functioning of the lathe CNC machine. The number of defects in the component was studied so as to analyse whether the manufacturing process is under control. Thus it is a quantitative study.
The data was discrete as the number of defects was being recorded. An appropriate graph to decribe the data would be a histogram as it would represent the number of components with defects in a range of values. This would help us analyse the distrubution of the number of components with low, medium and high number of defects.
