But rather than tread through the workday in a zombie-like, sleep-deprived state, some workers are turning to secret power naps" in order to recharge. For example, Ronit Rogosziniski, a 45-year- old financial planner, wakes up at 5 a.m. each day, works, and at noon sneaks to her car for a quick snooze. She is not alone, as evidenced by the comments on Wall Street Oasis, a website frequently visited by investment bankers who blog about their travails. Their advice? Some companies are paying attention to the costs associated with sleep deprivation and are encouraging napping at work. One survey of 600 companies conducted by the Society for Human Resource Management revealed that 6 percent had dedicated nap rooms in 2011. This specific approach used by organisation to introduce the idea of nap rooms would be very beneficial for increasing the overall employee satisfaction. Proper sleep is necessary to be focused on creating a more intuitive and more satisfactory working environment for the employees which could be very beneficial for increasing the overall efficiency as the lab activity of the organisation. If an employee is not totally sleeping then his overall workability as well as efficiency would be reduced as he would not be able to focus on his specific job.
Introduction of the nap rooms would definitely increase the overall employee satisfaction and increase the overall job satisfaction by increasing the motivation inside the organisation as well as creating a more hygienic working environment. The specific turns directly related to the motivation hygiene theory.
Reinforcement theory would also be appropriate in this specific situation as reinforcement of the organisational structure by giving times for the sleep deprived employees to take a power nap would be beneficial for improving your work performance of the specific organisation or workplace. Determination of the employee which are sleep deprived is very essential and can be done by enforcement theory by application of multiple reinforcement techniques.
If I were the manager of the company I would have directly reduced the stress in the organisation and should have done a survey place to determine the reason of less sleep which is being provided to the Employees. Determination of this specific problem would have provide a correct solution for the workplace as well as it would have also increase the overall level of efficiency as well as productivity of the organisation in a positive manner. Knowing the root cause by personal assessments of the employee as well as looking into the record system for total working hours would also be a beneficial term which would be used if the employees are sleep deprived.
