Yes, I do have a backup strategy for my computer. I routinely back up my data from my (personal) computer. My work computer on the other hand, the frequency of the backup is higher. This is because the data on the work computer is more crucial. When it comes to my personal computer I perform data cleanup and back manually once every month. My work computer on the other hand is connected to a cloud account to take weekly backup of the updated changes. On my personal computer I backup some applications, photos, documents related to various personal use (such as rental agreement, medical prescriptions, etc). On my work computer, I backup emails, work items, project details and other discussion items. For personal use I often zip similar files together and upload them as backup. The work computer is backed up as raw files (as it is). This could be of various formats. However the most common formats are document, pdf, excel and power point. The backups are saved on icloud for personal use and google drive for official use. I tend to keep the backups for several years. The reason is that the files that I use are not very large in size. They are mostly documents. As a result, the backup drives do not run out of space. If all my technology items were destroyed, I could download all my important documents and details from my backup system and function normally.
