The probability of randomly selecting a ball that begins with the letter "b" is 2/3. TRUE or FALSE. (c) Given the same urn as in part (b). Suppose you select two balls at random from the urn. The probability that the color of both balls begins with the letter "b" is 1/5. TRUE or FALSE.Explanation / Answer
We are allowed to do 1 question at a time. Post again for second question.
1) We have to just select 5 players out of 8
So, Total combinations = 8C5
8C5 = 56 combinations
Answer would be different if the playing positions are to be considered.
If positions are considered total ways = 8 * 7 * 6 * 5 * 4 = 6720
