The car is a dstance d away. The bear is 244 m behind the tourist and running at 7.15 m/s. The tourist reaches the car safely. What is the maximum possible value for d the tolerance is +/-2% Click if you would Wke te Show Work for this question Qoen Show Work MacBook Air 8 5 optionExplanation / Answer
Given,
Speed of man = 5.23 m/s
Speed of bear = 7.15 m/s
Distance = 24.4 m
So, every second the bear gains (7.15 - 5.23) = 1.92 m/s
The bear has 24.4 meters to travel
24.4/1.92 = 12.71 s, it takes bear to catch
So, distance, d = v x t = 5.23 x 12.71 = 66.47 m
