Question
I just want to know if my answers are correct
The accompanying relative frequency histogram shows the number of hours of sleep (Sleep Hours) reported as experienced "last night" for 24 college men. Complete parts(a) and (b) below. Click the icon to view the relative frequency histogram. a. About how many men had 6 or fewer hours of sleep? About 4 men had 6 or fewer hours of sleep. (Round to the nearest whole number as needed.) b. The graph is bimodal. What are the two modes? The two modes are 7.0, 8.0. (Use a comma to separate answers as needed.)Explanation / Answer
a.) for 6 hours or fewer sleep, relative frequency given is 0.15 which means
Number of men (say x) ÷ total number of men = 0.15
x = 24 * 0.15
= 3.6
So, About 4 men had 6 or fewer hours of sleep.
b.) here 5.5 and 6.0 are outliers, and the main graph is bimodal. And the two modes are 7.0 and 8.0
So, yes your answers are correct.
Please give a thumbs up. Thanks :)
