Question

Solve y'''-y''-4y'+4y=5-ex+e2x using undetermined coefficients I just wasted 3 hours on this question. I think I have the answer but something in the back of my mind tells me I am missing something or I am not quite at the answer yet. So far, everytime I work it out I end up with y=ce^x + ce^2x + (xe^x)/3 + (xe^2x)/4 + 5/4 Can someone please tell me if I am missing something. I am about to rip the few hairs on my head out! Thanks in advance for any help you may provide. Solve y'''-y''-4y'+4y=5-ex+e2x using undetermined coefficients I just wasted 3 hours on this question. Explanation / Answer

| y(x) = 1/4 e^(2 x) x+(e^x x)/3+c_1/e^(2 x)+c_2 e^x+c_3 e^(2 x)+5/4
