The e-commerce platform I chose for this analysis is Sweetwater, which deals in music equipments. The design of Sweetwater is simple yet effective with just the right amount of complexity for a new user and design scalability to different types of screen sizes and devices. The only poor feature that comes to. Mind could be considered the sort feature which has less amount of parameter than I would have wanted. According to the 8 unique features of e commerce, the platform is as follows:-
1. UBIQUITY: it can be considered as the best platform for buying music in strengths and electronics and is advertised heavily in other Google searches and affiliated websites.
2. GLOBAL REACH: Sweetwater is an American based brand which is their main headquarters. They however do provide shipping in another company but utilize the services of FedEx.
3. UNIVERSAL STANDARD: the platform follows standard such as multi device scalability, good design principles, competitive pricing and good service in their business model.
4.RICHNESS: they have a large inventory of custom products as well as products from different companies whit a huge catalog and variation in both physic instruments and their digital counterparts.
5. INTERACTIVITY: the website follows good design principles, has multi device scalability and includes professional outlook and animations. With different data being able to be accessed through different categories.
6. INFORMATION DENSITY: they have explained their products well, have expert reviews, user reviews and personal information regarding the use of each product.
7. PERSONALIZATION: The platform has a user account section but does not. Allow anything much in terms of personalization.
8. SOCIAL TECHNOLOGY: The platform. Features a comment section and the ability to interact with a sales executive live, but that is just about the extent of social technology Sweetwater has applied to their business model.
