Millions of people are migrating to European countries, for instance; Germany, Turkey, Lebanon, and Jordan for a better life. I personally think that refugees and migrants from any part of the world and from any religion believe should be treated equally. For many years migrants are contributing positively in the United States economic by increasing the flow of the money due to more job opportunities generated. Most migrants are hard-working people looking for a better life opportunity, on the other hand, migrants and refugees are labeled or stereotype depending on their religion inclinations, race, among other reasons, thus complicating their survival in these countries. They are being maltreated and neglected by some citizens and the government from these European countries mostly because of protective and territorial principles which are applied to them. Most individuals from Islamic countries are also suffering and are becoming a big issue among some European nations, being Muslim or Christian does not mean they should be treated differently. Most of the time Muslims are called terrorists and unfortunately this is spreading tremendously in Social media hence, creating more fear and hatred. As shown in this video thousands of migrants and refugees are seeking for asylum in Turkey, Germany, Denmark and other European countries where sometimes they are not welcome nicely or simply not welcome at all. The laws implemented for them are somehow strict, and they do not provide much flexibility due to the large flow of people migrating. Nonetheless, European Union is trying to help some of these migrants and refugees but same time protecting their nations. As stated in the video, in Poland, refugees and migrants are not welcome, they are even been referred as ‘’Human garbage” if not providing any benefit to their nation, I completely disagree on how a Polish representative used this term to refer to migrants and refugees. This strongly could be considered as an act of discrimination and hostility; no one should be called or referred to as that term used: “garbage”. Watching this made me realized how much I can relate myself with the migrants and refugees situation, since I am an immigrant as well. I came to United States in 2006 from Venezuela, looking for a better life as they do, and it was not easy. As an immigrant the effort to success is double, USA has adopted me as one of its citizens and I feel very graceful for it on the other hand, I had many struggles. Not knowing the language, trying to adapt to a completely different system and sometimes being victim of discrimination was hard to overcome. I was welcome in this country which at least made it less difficult, imagine if you are not. The situation In Venezuela worsen every day, there is a great amount of people trying to leave the country to survive. Now a day Venezuelans are being discriminated and neglected by some countries due to the massive amount of migrants which remains me the massive amount of migrants and refugees trying to enter in the European Union.

Explanation / Answer

Millions of people are migrating to European countries such as, Germany, United Kingdom, France etc. from war torn Asian and African Countries for a better life. I personally believe that refugees and migrants from any part of the world and from any religion should be accepted and treated equally. For many years, migrants were contributing positively in the United States’ economy by working in more jobs and paying their taxes. Most migrants are hard-working people who look for a better life opportunity but on the other hand, migrants and refugees are accepted or rejected based on their religion and race among other reasons. This labelling and stereotypical views threaten their survival in these countries. They are being maltreated and neglected by some in those countries and the governments of these European countries too, act in a way to protect the interests of their country and people. Mostly, people from Islamic countries suffer in the Christianity based European nations. Being a Muslim or Christian shouldn’t be the criteria for people to be treated differently. Most of the time, Muslims are called terrorists and unfortunately, this false information is spreading like a wild fire in Social media, creating more fear and hatred. Thousands of migrants and refugees are seeking asylum in Turkey, Germany, Denmark and other European countries as shown in this video. Sometimes, they are not received well or simply not welcomed at all. Strict laws are enacted and implemented in order to prevent asylum seekers. This is due to the large number of people trying to enter into a country and the potential risk associated with this. Nonetheless, European Union is also trying to help some of these migrants and refugees in getting refugee status but on strict conditions. As stated in the video, in Poland, refugees and migrants were not welcome and they were even labelled as ‘’Human garbage” which is useless to their nation. I completely disagree and condemn the Polish representative who used this term to refer the migrants and refugees. This could be considered as an act of discrimination and hostility and as an inhuman act. No one has the right to call human beings a garbage, if they do, it is because they are still uncivilized. When I was watching this video, it made me realize how much I can relate myself with the migrants’ and refugees’ situation, because I myself, is an immigrant. I came to United States in 2006 from Venezuela, looking for a better life but it was not easy. As an immigrant, I had to put double the effort in order to succeed in anything. I am grateful to USA as it permitted to enter and adopted me as one of its citizens. Although I struggled a lot initially in terms of the language, system and culture, I got used to it, after all it’s all about survival of the fittest. At times, I had to undergo lots of discrimination, I learned to live with that. The situation in Venezuela is getting worse every day and there is a great amount of people leaving the country in order to survive and start a new life elsewhere. Now-a-days, Venezuelans are discriminated and neglected by some countries due to the massive amount of migrants and refugees who are trying to enter into European Union.
