In the reading this unit Martin discusses the nature of emotional problems. He identifies scientific and common explanations of such issues in the field of psychology and counseling. What might the Christian Worldview add to this view of problems? How might a Christian explain such issues from a Christian Worldview?Explanation / Answer
According to the Christian perception of human nature: we humans have rebelled against God, hence we have a feeling of guilt regarding this rebellion, and so we must reconcile ourselves with God or face unsolved personal problems. Thus according to this view, our mental problems are due to our transgressions and sins and we must reconcile with the divine will to live peacefully and emotionally stable life.
