Post your most promising thesis statements here by Sunday, April 8th. The earlier you post, the more likely it will be that you'll receive feedback from peers.

Before you post your thesis statements to the discussion, please read and do the following:
Brainstorm: Convert your research question into some possible thesis statements using the lecture presented in the link above. Try to write several kinds of thesis statements, such as fact/definition, cause and effect, value, and solutions/policies.
Research question: Can eugenics help solve human social issues? (ex: poverty, healthcare, education, wars, human rights)
Please write several (4-5) thesis statements using this research question.
Keep in mind that the thesis statement is the foundation of your research essay. That means that a poorly written thesis can cause your entire research paper to crumble. Make sure you put in the time and effort needed to write some strong and specific thesis statements and to carefully consider your classmates' feedback. If you want additional help, please consider using the CU Denver Writing Center (Links to an external site.)Links to an external site. or scheduling a real-time, online chat with me.
Keep in mind that you want the focus of your thesis statements to closely relate to the research you conducted for your annotated bibliography because you can and should use much of that same research on your final project for this course. You are welcome to add more sources; it's likely that everyone will still need to find a few more authoritative academic sources to complete the research essay.
To Do: Post all of your possible thesis statements to this discussion board, but highlight the one that you think is most promising.
To Do: Begin informal brainstorming and planning for your research project.
