Casework is a problem solving effort in which the client is engaged in working and coping with problem that confront him/her and lead him/her to better adaption and to actualization of potential.

In general, the purpose of social case work is to help an individual client to solve his psycho-social problems in such a way so that he finds himself capable of dealing with these problems at present and also may solve in future if such problems arise.
The components of social cae work comprises of
1. The study phase
2. Diagnosis: Thinking about and organizing facts in a meaningful and goal pointed explanations. It comprises of mental work of examining parts of the problem and inter-relationship between them
3. Treatment/Intervention
The diagnosis may comprise of the case formulation including the diagnotic work up for a client. This is the specific interest area that intrigues me regarding the field. The diagnosing and intervention aspect of working with clients who may be facing obstacles in their life path. The education is in line with the field since a certified course in order to be a licensed practitioner is also accomplished by the team. Career plans comprise of creating a multidimensional team which has an exposre of different kinds of therapeutic techniques so as to provide the best intervention facilities. The aim of social case work is essentially to build a conducive environment for the clients.
