Question

Subject:child development in early childhood ecucation but I choose physology to be easy but I really need this answer As soon As possible.

Have you ever created an emergent curriculum or wondered what it would be like? Consider the following questions as you share your experiences and/or ideas about emergent curriculum:

Have you ever designed an emergent curriculum for young children? If so, describe the process.

Think about an individual child or a group of infants, toddlers, preschoolers, or school age students that you know and/or have worked with.

Identify something (a topic, skill, concept, idea, experience) that the child(ren) are passionate about, interested in, or engaged with.

How you could turn the child(ren’s) interest(s) into an emergent curriculum theme?

Here is an example: Johnny loves dinosaurs and talks about them every day. He draws dinosaurs, reads books about dinosaurs, and chooses the classroom bin of dinosaurs every chance he gets. To build on his interest his classroom teacher plans a unit of study to help Johnny and other interested classmates learn about dinosaurs and their natural habitats.

Explanation / Answer

Recently I read about Gardenr's intelligence theory. Many schools want their students to have all round development instead of just academics. Gardner says that IQ factor is very vast and subjective - it should be measured in all the areas such as music, spatial, verbal, logical, bodily, intrapersonal and interpersonal and naturalistic. I think that all these factors should be considered for all round development.

I think emerging should have such kinds of projects in the classroom itself and the subjects should be taught based on these. For e.g: classrooms having reading area, including a comfortable reading chairs and book shelf. there should be one corner where plantation and information about botany and zoology should be kept. Music and physical activities should have separate hours. The mathematical intelligence or verbal intelligence should not be restricted to maths and english respectively, for e.g: any history has got different flavour of language, and in geography also one can calculate the years or the distance. The journal should be published once in three months, all these things helps children to develop their intra personal and inter personal intelligence.
