Question
Please, if possible, use the book "Vertebrates Comparative Anatomy, Function, Evolution" 7th Edition on Chapter 14 to help me answer these questions. Outside resources are helpful, too, but please let it be reliable and friendly. Thank you.

How are the male reproductive systems similar and different between the various vertebrate groups? 6. What is the cloaca and how does is differ between vertebrate groups? b, How are the bladder and the cloaca associated?Explanation / Answer
1.nephrons are the structural and functional unit of kidneys. These are microscopic structure consisting of renal corpuscle and renal tubule. The renal corpuscle consists of tuft of capillaries called glomerulus and bowman's capsule. The renal tubule consists of proximal convoluted tubule, henlee's loop, distal convoluted tubule and collecting duct.
2.embryonic development of kidneys
In the embryological development of kidney, initially there are 3 main structures arising from intermediate mesoderm. The structures are pronephros, mesonephros and metanephros.
Pronephros develops during fourth embryonic week and regresses the same week. Mesonephros develop as the pronephros regresses. It forms renal corpuscle. Metanephros develop during 5th week and it gives rise to development of final urinary organs. Collecting system develops from the ureter in bud which is an outgrowth of metanephros duct.
