I have to write a research paper proposal and I am stuck. I can never find the write words to start. I am choosing to do some research on ADHD and that we are often medicating first before trying non-medical solutions. My son was diagnosed with Adhd at a young age and he was prescribed meds which made him more aggressive and irritable. I took him off it and tried some biofeedback and therapy and he actually improved in school with different strategies to focus and breaks to clear his mind when needed. That is why I am choosing this topic but what can my thesis be or how to start my intro. I am a terrible writer.

Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a neuro-developmental disease, in which patients suffer from executive functions such as in controlling their attention and inhibitory control. Their behaviour and hyperactivity do not correlate with their age. The symptoms appear by the age of six to twelve years and symptoms last for more than six months. The symptoms include hyperactivity (e.g. nonstop talking), lack of attention control, poor school performance, easy distraction, unable to follow instructions and in processing the instructions, etc. Behavioural therapy or behavioral management is one of the most important non-medical approaches to ADHD. Applying the patient-specific strategies to train the children to behave in socially appropriate ways will be useful. Regarding ADHD, research in this filed (behavioral therapy strategies) has the wide scope.
