Imagine an ordinary decision you make on an everyday basis: for example, whether to save or spend your money or where to go dinner. Consider making that decision under three different conditions: when you're angry, when you're happy, and when you're afraid. In each case, what do you decide to do with your money or where to eat?Explanation / Answer
Decision making is influenced by our emotions as well. A happy headspace would lead to positive decisions,in this case maybe going out to my favourite restaurant with my favourite people and just sharing my happy mood with them. If I am angry,it could lead me taking a risk and maybe spending all my save money recklessly on things I might not need.Anger breeds confidence and maybe putting the blame on others,so after impulsively spending all my saved money I might blame it on others just to justify my anger and rash decision making,in which I put no thought. If I am afraid,I might just save all my money since I worry about a future rainy day and would not waste it on unnecessary things.Fear breeds uncertainity, and that makes you anxious leading to being more cautious anout your decisions.Being afraid makes you focus on taking specific decisions by measuring all the pros and cons, which could be beneficial for the future. So,I might save my money or even pt that money into the welfare of others.
