With people feeling more and more stressed as they grapple with competing priorities, demanding schedules and worrying about money, stress is more the rule than the exception. With all of these things going on, it can be easy for your health to be impacted. Stress is your body's reaction to the demands of the world. Stressors are events or conditions in your surroundings that may trigger stress. Your body responds to stressors differently depending on whether the stressor is new or short term — acute stress — or whether the stressor has been around for a longer time — chronic stress. My stress triggers are many,professionally,first it was about finding the right job and now its the workload and a constant worry of being laid off since it has become common nowadays. Personally,it is financial obligations,marriage topic which is constant discussion now,fear of failure,also constantly overthinking about the possible consequences of my actions and being worried about future and lack of control over it. My strategies include a range,from isolating myself to taking a vacation. I dont vent out my emotions that often and prefer less to to talk about it with others,even though I do that sometimes.But my strategy is more about dealing it myself.So,I would engage in a physical activity like dance,which is my ultimate de-stressor. Also,I would take a break and go on a vacation,trying to get my emotions together and spending time with myself. I also do meditation sometimes and take spa treatments,to physically de stress my body. Regarding,managing my workload,I do talk with my head,and figure out how to deal with my stress at workplace,use time management strategies and make a schedule of getting things done and achieving my deadlines. We all go through our phases of stress and worry,and every individul has a different way of approching it and coping with it.Some use emotion focused coping and some problem focused.Some internalize it and some vent it out on others.Some take help of therapists to deal with it.The key is to idnetify the triggers as early as possible and adopt a healthy lifestyle for one's peace of mind.
