(Answer) Assignment – Travis Middle school is to be researched for any positive and/ or negative issues that they face in management style. The data that can be used is that which is provided on the site or from public information.
Task – Identify the area most in need – For example, students have been scoring very poorly in their science class.
1. Create an analysis of your findings by including data for your subject area.
For example – refer to the science scores of the children from the beginning of their academic life at the school and at the present time and compare the difference.
2. Create a minimum of one curricular goal for the area you identify as most in need.
Example – The students have very little lab time and hence do not have a practical understanding of science.

Having more bake-sales to purchase better lab equipment.
Having more remedial classes for students who need more tutoring in science.
Giving the improved students an opportunity to participate in quizzes that might benefit their scholastic endeavours.

Every child with a grade lower than B- in Science would have to sit an extra hour after school for remedial class until their grade improves.
Students would have to fill forms, stating which lessons they find toughest.
Students would be given the optimal lab time where every lesson that can have a practical explanation, will have one.
Students who desire additional tutoring would be allowed to sit for the remedial class along with the mandatory students for grades lower than B-.

Students would have to have a comprehensive test after each lesson to determine their strong and weak points. The common weak points could be addressed in class together. The students who still need extra attention can attend a remedial class and then take the test once more. This would ensure that the method actually works.
Furthermore, the students’ understanding of a lesson can be tested before and after lab time- This would prove whether or not lab time is an essential criterion.
This would mean that after every implementation, there should be an evaluation. This would ensure that the solutions work and that there are not extraneous causes for the students being weak at science.

Sustainable student learning is best achieved when all essential areas are given due focus. Each subject is to be made comprehensive through extracurricular activities and learning techniques. Class activities, lab time, educational films, quizzes, field-trips etc help a child retain details about their lessons that the textbooks alone might not always do.
Therefore, it is essential for the management of the school to optimally spend their funds to ensure that all aspects of a child’s education receive the due funds and focus.

Leadership capacity is an essential component when it comes to helping the child to focus. If school staff, technology and equipment is adequate, it creates an encouraging environment in which the students are led towards not only better grades but, towards a certain fulfilment in their scholastic lives. In the example above, an adequate about of lab-time and remedial teaching time would lead to a focused child getting better grades and subsequently enjoying their time at school.
