Explanation / Answer
When I was small and even until completing my school, I had the habit of doing physical exercise and playing soccer with my friends. I used to feel bad if I don’t get an opportunity to play outdoors. I was also very much cautious about my physical appearance, so I used to take time to exercise and eat healthy food. I used to feel good about doing things that made me fit and healthy. Today, when I look back, I feel I have gained weight, I don’t exercise and I eat all the unhealthy food. I have also started to spend more time partying. This has brought me more resentment and I’m building more stress during these days. I reflected on this and decided to change my course by accepting that I’m in trouble. I started to reduce my party time and started to spend more time with my colleagues who played outdoors. I also started to maintain a chart that kept reminded me of my schedules and my priorities. I talked to my parents and they suggested to have more personal time that would help me identify myself. They also suggested to start self- talk that would help me make self-fulfilling prophecies. This has helped me a lot in realizing my strengths and at the same time working on my limitations thus staying focused on the task. I feel happy about the transition that I had undergone and I feel change is the only permanent thing but choosing positive changes wisely would help one excel.
